Why I Became a Financial Advisor

I feel very lucky to have known what I wanted to be from a young age. I was in college and stumbled upon Burton Gordon Malkiel’s book, “A Random Walk Down Wall Street.” I was so intrigued by the markets that I immediately opened my first brokerage account at the age of 20. It had a profound influence on my career path and helped me realize that I wanted to work in investment management.

My First Steps in Financial Services

When I graduated college, the economy was in the middle of the investment craze of the late 1990s. The idea of serving as a shepherd to guide others appealed to me. After graduating, I embarked on my career in finance, first working as an investment consultant for TD Ameritrade, later moving on to Charles Schwab. Over the years, I worked my way up to vice president and my client satisfaction levels consistently ranked in the top quarter of the entire company.

Creating My Firm

After 14 years with Charles Schwab, I realized I wanted to approach financial planning and investment management through a different lens. I wanted to be able to offer my clients more options and more customized strategies. I realized that the best way for me to do this was to form an independent firm. I created Fiduciary Wealth Management with the mission of providing a streamlined and coordinated approach to help clients reach their specific investment goals.

My Career Today

Today, I am passionate in my dedication to putting our clients’ best interests first. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I have completed extensive training and experience requirements and are held to rigorous ethical standards. I use these guidelines when creating plans that are tailored to each person's individual needs and address all elements of their financial picture.

While running a business is no easy task, I can’t imagine having any other career. My innate competitive nature drives me to provide the best service possible to my clients and stand out from the competition.

By encouraging relationship-building, I like to build a strong rapport with those I serve. I want people to feel confidence knowing I have the knowledge and experience to assist them with their greatest financial needs. My clients know they can rely on me to provide them honest advice, even when it’s not what they want to hear. I like to believe they know I’m a genuine and caring advisor who looks out for their best interests.

Building Our Relationship

I work with a lot of different people with unique financial goals, and I’d be happy to meet with you to discuss your circumstances and opportunities. Before diving into the financial aspects, I like to take the time to get to know my clients and make sure we are a good fit for one another.
