This year marked the 39th annual CARTI Auxiliary Festival of Trees celebration in Little Rock. This event is hosted by CARTI, Arkansas’s largest private cancer clinic, and raises funds for CARTI cancer patients. The four-day festival includes The Sugar Plum Ball, Festival After Dark, Festival of Fashion, and Tux ‘n Trees.

As a proud father, I felt incredibly privileged to attend The Sugar Plum Ball with my daughters!

Me and my beautiful girls

The dance was such a special evening for all of us. Sophie (6) and Lilly (4) loved getting dressed up and going on a date with daddy. They even got to go shopping with mom for new ball dresses! I must admit that I was nervous about making it the perfect evening for them and I had to keep reminding myself they are 4 and 6!

The first stop in our magical evening was at the girls’ favorite restaurant for a quick dinner. Then we were off to the ball! We were individually introduced as we entered the grand ballroom and treated like royalty in the fairytale setting. The girls even received princess tiaras and party favors and got to see Santa, Mrs. Claus, ballet dancers, and the newly-crowned Mrs. Arkansas. It was a dream come true for my daughters!

The girls loved posing with the sugar plum fairies!

The memories that my girls and I created at the daddy-daughter dance will last a lifetime! Life often gets busy and overwhelming, especially at this time of year, so it’s always rejuvenating to stop and enjoy precious moments like these. One of my passions is investing into future generations and raising my kids to prioritize the right things in life and learn about how to manage money from a young age. If you are wanting to set your kids on the right track financially and set a good example for them, schedule a phone call now!
